Well, this is it!

Can you believe that this is the LAST week of school? It's amazing to think back at how much everyone has grown, both academically and socially, throughout the year.

This week in Math students will take their final Unit Test on Integers. Students will also get a chance to look back at the GLCE checklist to see how many GLCE's they met and how many they still need practice on. Yes, students will be receiving a packet of work to complete over the summer, as their first math grade for 7th grade. This is not meant to be a punishment, it is meant to be a review of topics learned so that all the hard-earned knowledge doesn't escape over the next 3 months.

In Science students will be presenting their extra credit project if they decided to do it after the test last week. Unfortunately for many, there were only 4 students (Congrats to DaShawn (100%), Trenton (100%), Trinity (94%), and Christina (85%) for their job well done) that received over an 80%. Since that was supposed to be the last grade of the trimester, we brainstormed on Friday about an extra "project" related to energy that they could complete. It is due tomorrow, and they will be presented tomorrow afternoon. We will also be traveling to the Cass Community Garden on Tuesday to help plant some plants, flowers, and trees.

On Thursday, we'll be having an end-of-the-year celebration. We will discuss what we'd like to do for this tomorrow, so there will be more information to come.

On Friday, there will be a 6th grade honors/promotion ceremony to honor the hard work of all the 6th graders this year, that we'll see as 7th graders next year. It is at 9am, in the Middle School Gym. Students are allowed to leave with their parents afterwards, as all class work has been completed at this time.

Only 5 more days -- can you believe it?
