Weekly News

This week in Math we will be finishing up the book "Moving Straight Ahead". Investigation 4 deals with understanding "slope" and using it along with "y-intercept" to be able to graph linear equations. Students should be able to identify slope and y-intercept using a graph, table, and equation.

In Science students will continue studying genetics but looking at the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction. Students will then look at the probability of inheriting various genes from their parents and further understand the difference between dominant and recessive genes.

FYI: Please remember that this will be my last full week at school before I leave on maternity leave. Because I won't be there, this blog will not be updated weekly with what we are doing in class or quiz/test results. Please contact Ms. Fisher if you have any questions regarding what you are doing on a weekly basis, or what type of progress you are making in math and science.
